=20

Dialog in the Dark Exhibition

=20

Dialog in the Dark provides remarkable insight and extraordinary

experience not to be forgotten. Escorted through galleries that are in =
total darkness, visitors learn how a daily routine can soon become an =
unforgettable

experience. A reversal of roles is created in which sighted visitors =
lose

the sense they rely on most-their sight-and depend upon guides

who are visually impaired to provide security and a sense of =
orientation.

Perceptions are enhanced and visitors experience the paradox of learning

to "see" by not seeing, leaving them with a unique appreciation of a

world without pictures.

=20

Through the use of smells, air currents, temperature changes,

sounds, and textures, different scenarios are presented to challenge

the visitor as they progress through the Exhibition. Typical galleries

feature: a walk through a public park and along a bustling city street,

a visit to a food market, travel on a boat, and a stop at a caf=E9 for =
refreshments. All through the experience, a non-visual map is being =
created in the visitor's mind, along with a sense of fantasy and =
accomplishment.

=20

Dialog in the Dark is not an ordinary Exhibition; it is a platform for

understanding between people with different abilities. It has been

presented in 22 countries and in over 130 cities throughout Europe,

Asia, and the Americas, promoting respect and tolerance in an

engaging and thought provoking manner.
