My workplace is requiring everyone to use the A Healthier You app from My Blue
KC (Blue Cross). The website is fairly accessible, though there are access
issues here and there. The mobile app, however, is an access disaster. Many
unlabeled buttons, and there is no way to register if you're using VoiceOver.
Yet the mobile app is truly the best way to go, since I want to register and
sync my Apple Health Kit with their app. Has any VoiceOver user ever
encountered the My Blue KC A Healthier You app, and if so, how did you handle
the accessibility issues? The rep at A Healthier YOu with whom I spoke said she
would research the issue, but given the fact that I had to explain the function
of a screen reader, I'm not sure how much research she can truly do. I know
she'll try her best, but there has to be a better solution, especially since
we're encouraged to log on to the site every day and I'm interested in
achieving better health habits.
Any suggestions very much appreciated.
