Non-Io-A on 100811, and a comment on mathematics and taxonomy I attach a right circular polarization detail from the Nancay spectrum: http://www.obs-nancay.fr/ql_routine_jupiter/B-W/2010/08/J100811.png The top and bottom edges are at 40 and 10 MHz (linear scale). We have observed several non-Io-A events in recent days, which appears unusual, but could be a random statistical fluctuation. I do not have a mathematical explanation for everything we observe in the Radio JOVE project. Some Participants who enjoy mathematics would like to see more mathematical analysis. Many will probably be bored by lots of math. In the history of Astronomy, mathematical analysis has been preceded many times by taxonomy. Victor //www.freelists.org/archive/radioastro
