There already is a sophisticated sort function that sorts both ports and
IP ifnames in the same manner.
In this particular case it decided that it should sort by numeric
indices first, than by middle strings. This logic was inspired by some
modular switches that have port sets like this:

te1/0/1
te1/0/2
gi1/0/3
gi1/0/4
fa1/1/1
gi1/1/2

Maybe we should think of making this logic configurable...
