Hello.

There was an idea made up for inventory management some time ago and it
is explained in http://racktables.org/trac/ticket/57
The implementation will be available in the next release as a more
abstract, but more flexible feature of "tagging". You could, for
example, tag arbitrary pieces of equipment as "test lab 1" and later
just pick the tag from the tag cloud to see everything tagged "test lab
1". This will work regardless of rackspace allocated to the objects.

As for the spares, the current approach treats devices as atomic
entities and I don't see a fast and easy way to change it.
