[racktables-users] SNMP Support for HP/Compaq servers

Hi,

Since most of us which use HP/Compaq servers install the Insight Agents to
manage them and could find this add-on very helpfull.
Is it possible to make an "SNMP Get" function for server equipment as well?
Those information could be obtained easily:
Serialnumber/Barcode: 
 * OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.1.0
 * Type: String
 * Example: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.1.0 = OCTET STRING XXX00000XX
Asset Tag:
 * OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.3.0
 * Type: String
 * Example: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.3.0 = OCTET STRING MY_ASSET_TAG
Productnumber (I added this in my environment):
 * OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.6.0
 * Type: String
 * Example: 1.3.6.1.4.1.232.2.2.2.6.0 = OCTET STRING 418315-421

I think the first and second apply to every racktable installation, but the
third one only to mine or anybody else who has added the productnumber as
field.
But this would be a start to support every hardware vendor if he supports
this information through snmp.
