Hello,Well yes basically it's just an extension of a cable, so if you wan't to know only the cable connections between active elements you can discard the information of the path through patch panel. But in this case it make no sense having the patchpanels in the database.
But if you wan't to be able to follow the cable, you need this information.Anyway, I can live without this feature, there is an easy workaround and I fully the software is great.
