What is sounds like your trying to do is keep track of status. I
would do that using tags, so create a tag tree similar to below to
handle this. Then simply add the appropriate tags to he objects. You
can then use these tags to filter the views.
Under Main page --> Configuration --> Tag tree
click Edit and add Status with NONE as the parent since this will be
the parent. Then add all the status codes you want with Status as
their parent. For servers with a problem use the Object properties
"Has problem" checkbox. That way the object will show as red under
the rack view.
Status
- new
- design
- dev
- test
- prod
- retired
Hope this helps,
Ernie

Hi all,
First I would like to day that Racktables is a GREAT Product, and to
thank you guys for the hard work and effort.
I am in the middle of hardware replacement / upgrades of some of our
servers. We have what we call a Add, Update and Delete, this
sparked a flag on my tiny mind and decided to sak for a request of
the software.
I was wondering if the code could be modified so that the "H
MainPage: Object: Server: serverName, Has Problems be changed to
Server Status. An this can be a 1 digit code. 1 decomissioned, 2
has problems, 3 prod, 4 development, 5, new.
Thanks,,
Luis
