[racktables-users] Importing data from other systems into racktables

We've got a a number of `databases' which hold information about
equipment in our machine rooms. I'd like to consolidate this into
racktables (as a one off operation rather than ongoing
synchronisation). At the very least I'd hope to be able to import
info about serial number, asset tag etc and possibly leave mapping to
racks to a manual mopping up operation.
Has anyone done this? Any example scripts I could start from.
