Is thier any plans on developing and external API for outside access
by let's say IPhone or windows mobile apps? That i think would be my
only requested feature of this application.
I haven't seen any plans for that on the roadmap, and as far as I
remember this would be the first request (I could be wrong). It
would be much more simple to add some browser detection and change
the layout for mobile devices. This would also keep the code
together and easier to maintain feature changes / additions, and no
you wouldn't have to purchase hardware to work on it.

I was thinking about that myself. I currently have 150 servers that me
and 2 other people manage, and that is going to double by the end of
the year with the new contract our company just signed. Getting a
smooth work from, with the wealth of information that RT handles, to a
mobile web implementation of RT my be more of a hassle, with larger
datacenters. I'm going to put a development VM in place Monday morning
and start riping through the code to see which would be the better
route. I'm not looking for easiest, just the better route to minimaze
any work flow issues which may arise from going ether way.
