Hi Tom
Below are some very detailed instructions I had created for myself after
setting it up on my test box. They might be of help to you or someone else
(hopefully they won't confuse anyone :) )
1) Upload jquery.jeditable.mini.js to js/
2) chmod 664 jquery.jeditable.mini.js
3) Upload linkview.php to inc
4) chmod 664 linkview.php
5) add "include 'inc/linkview.php';" to inc/local.php (You'll have to create it
from scratch if doesn't exist. Don't forget the correct PHP tags)
6) chmod 664 local.php
7) Create B2B port in Configuration : Dictionary : Chapter 'PortOuterInterface'
8) Go back to Configuration : Dictionary : Chapter 'PortOuterInterface' and
hover over the created port to get the ID
9) Set "$lv_b2b_port_type_ids" in linkview.php to this port ID value
10) Go to Configuration : Port compatibility and set which ports your B2B port
is compatible with (e.g. 1000Base-T)
11) Go to Configuration : Enabled port types and add your B2B port to
"hardwired" inner interface
12) Now create your B2B ports on your panel and ensure that your "front" RJ45
ports have the same names on the two patch panels you are linking.
Kind regards,

Hi Tom,
these are the keys from RackTables Dictionary : Chapter 'PortOuterInterface'
which you want to use as Back2Back connection. You should create a new port
type for that. You just need to cahnge the 50004 to your key.
Regards,
Maik

Thanks,
I think I added long tags to my closing php (php?>)
I'm getting a:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONST in
/opt/RackTables-0.19.10/wwwroot/inc/linkview.php on line 83
Which I think means I have got my $lv_b2b_port_type_ids array wrong. Which
Id(s) is this meant to be an array of?

Hi Tom,
you have to create the local.php file with the following in it:
<?php
include 'inc/linkview.php';
?>
This should do it.
Thanks
Maik

Miak,
the instructions in linkview.php say to add the include line to 'inc/local.php'
This file doesn't exist under my 0.19.10 installation. If I do create the file
and add the include statement then my racktables stops working.
Is there another file the include line should be declared in?
TIA

Hi All,
here is my new Version of the linkview plugin.
Changes:
- display port name on unlinked ends
- switch for also displaying unlinked ports
- link ports
- edit cable names (needs jeditable)
- edit port reservation comments (needs jeditable)
- internal changes
It now consists of two files (linkview.php and jquery.jeditable.mini.js).
For new install instructions see linkview.php.
Comments / Bugs ?
