That doesn't really solve the task, to be honest. I personally liked
very much a screenshot of some commercial software, which showed a
detailed trace from a given seat on a floor map to some floor switch. I
don't remember the name of the software, perhaps, others could hint?


not sure, but I was digging into the google and found this:
1) patchmaker http://www.cs.princeton.edu/patchmaker/about.html, maybe it would 
be easier to incorporate whats been done already
2) http://www.jumpnetworks.net/img/diagram.gif though there is no information 
about the software/could be just a picture
