Hello.

Generally speaking, IP prefixes in RackTables aren't necessary
connected networks, they may refer to any smaller or bigger nodes on
your addressing tree. For this specific matter (tracking router
loopbacks) the recommended approach would be:

1. Create a record for the pool you are allocating loopbacks from.
When filling in fields, uncheck "connected network" checkbox, so
RackTables doesn't reserve two addresses for you automatically. This
checkbox doesn't do anything besides that at the moment.
2. On the "IPv4" tab for each router list its loopback with "Loopback"
allocation type. Don't care about netmasks.

This way you'd have things connected two-way: you can see, how much
of your loopback pool is used and you see, which pool the router is
allocating from. The netmask for each IP interface would depend on the
allocation type: for "connected" it would inherit from the closest
parent network and for "loopback" it would always be assumed /32.
However, that would only matter, when you start generating configs from
RackTables data.
