A 110mm bottom bracket + the BB tube weighs in all 460g.. That is not
easy to beat...

You would have the advantage of a spring here, but the spring should not
be too strong - it should not influence to much while driving. The
usefulness would be when not sitting on the bike. A python without a
spring or person on it, tends to flop around its pivot, like a fish that
just came out of the water.
