[python] Re: rear brake

Dirk,

A friend has fitted two V-brakes to the front wheel of a recumbent bike
(not a Python). Both are on the fork, one in the usual place on the
front of the fork, the other behind the fork, on a second pair of brake
bosses, with its own handle and cable. It doesn't use the braking
potential of the rear wheel (which is not much, as you say) or its
capacity to absorb heat from braking, but it does provide redundancy for
a cable failure. It might be easier to fit a second front brake of a
different type than a second V-brake.
