[python] Re: no weld python

Hi Mike, hi everyone else,

I thought the same thing - because I don't habe any welding skills and no opportunity to learn this. The parts of my PPP (http://en.openbike.org/wiki/User:Pollypupspueppchen) are connected together with screws.

Another way would be bolts or rivets - I don't know wether screws or bolds/rivets are to be prefered from a technical and mechanical perspective. I like the idea to be able to change my construction quite easily and I thougth, screws are the best option for this. But I was warned, that screws couldt get loose by the vibrations caused by riding the python. I need to check my PPP for this. Until now I didn't ride long distances with it.

I had no focus on the documentation of the building process of the PPP, but I could make some detailed photos of the point of the bike, where parts are connected by screws and add these photos to this folder in the internet:

On http://www.youtube.com/user/pollypupspueppchen you can see my riding the PPP in several videos - and you can HEAR the sound of the PPP in some of the videos (it is squeaking...).

greetings from Braunschweig, Germany

Hi listees

I'm thinking of building a no weld python. I think it would be good to have
one built so that those without welding skills could still build their own.
Build suggestions before I start are welcome. I'm going to try and document
the build with photos as I proceed. It may take some time....
