[python] Re: making a jig -- again

Sleek design, lightweight construction - great!

(hopefully this is going to be my "python final").

there is always a next version ;-)

Is it a good idea to use a middle plane at all?

I guess Greg is inspiring us all ...

If you can build the frame around it and if it won´t burn
too much while welding - very good idea.

The drill at the shop is a rather sturdy and old machine. Probably it
used to be a very good quality thing, but now, it does not drill
straight (not perpendiculum). I have seen there are two nuts (a big one
and a very small one (key 8) under the platform. This drill is not mine,
so I should know what I do before I mess with it. Is there some method
to align the drill?

Normally the platform angle is adjustable. If it is not perpendicular everybody will be grateful if you'll correct this by using a right angle gauge (Winkellehre).

Keep us posted,
Jürgen.

PS: Nice CAD program. Is it free?
