Hi all,
Jürgen from Erlangen visited me with his python and we exchanged our pythons.
Both are
similar in behavior, the geometry is nearly the same, just my seat is higher
and the bb is
lower.
It was a great experience for me to ride side by side with the master. Jürgen
rides so smoothly
and calm as if he would lie in a sunchair on the beach with a drink in his
hand. Perfect curves
without tremble.
His example encouraged me to continue my riding lessons. I already wanted to
give up (here I
remember the book "Jonathan livingston seagull") - And I also want to "fly"
like Jürgen.
I remember my son's learning process of walking and how much training it needs
to walk and
that walking is a instable way of moving ( just stand on one leg for a longer
time).
So I went for the second time to work with my green python, and traffic no
longer makes me
anxious (the handle bars comfort me in difficult situations). Now I can cut my
racing bike to
transform it into a python, but first my little son wants to have a python too.
(he loves bike
riding)
The downhill ability of the python I will test with motorcycle clothes a little
bit later.
The TT steers very good downhill, I went with 50 km/h downhill very calm, but
that is the only
advantage of the TT in my eyes . I think the disadvantage of the TT is that the
leverarm from
pivot to front hub is shorter than the leverarm from front hub to bb. And then
the side forces
while pedaling are uncomfortably strong.
So I am already longing for my tomorrows exercise on my green python.
Greetings from Jürgen Maier
