Hopefully the construction isn't too primitive, but the rendering sure is. :)
The main sources of inspiration for the frame is Olaf's monty,
Lennart's and Marc's pythons and Jürgen's P3. The front end that Dirk
built for Marc's bike is indeed a work of art, but the simple fork on
Monty also has it's advantages. What i have now is sort of a bastard
mix of the two. There's a reason for this. I hope to use a strange
type of pivot. Been stalking the archives for a while now and there
has been talk on the subject. The type i hope to use hasn't been
mentioned but then again it *is* a bit strange. If you can imagine the
two halves of the bike lashed together with polyester shoelaces then
you're not that far off. The idea is stolen from the mounting of
rudders on Wharram Tiki catamarans, btw. If that design option fails
(thorough testing needs to be done before building anything) then i'll
probably go with two rod-ends.
The idea is to build a rear frame where both the wheel base and seat
position may be easily adjusted. A python for the tailor, sort of.
When everything is just right then it'll be a simple thing to build a
new rear end, customized to me.

The Python doesn't look primitive - nice bracing, though triangulation
would be better still. One of Dirk Bonne's Pythons has a nice
triangulated front end, which he said bent like a rock.
