With the close placement of the pivot to the wheel, you definitely need both
attached to the rear, but the angle of pivot to front frame is fixed. Jürgen
could turn the top one around in his P4 geometry. The other nice thing that tie
rods would add is that the pivot would not need to be disassembled to adjust.
BTW, Greg sure has a great project!
The forecast is rain today/this weekend, so I'm going to cut some new frame
parts. There. I said it!
