I have seen several pics of the Baby Python by Dirk Bonné, and think this is
a very nice bike. The (very) little thought is in my mind (*cough*) to make
one for myself.
Except for pics, i've never seen a drawing. Is there any (with sizes and so)
or is it completely made out of the blue?

Hello Arjen

thank you for your interest in my bike!

I have drawings of the very first version but it changed so much now that it doesn't really make much sense. But here you are anyway:

These drawings are more like thinkering and are really obsolete.

But I do not think that it is so difficult without drawings to built this bike.

The latest version of the bike is:

   http://en.openbike.org/wiki/Baby_python

This is where I have stiffening of the front part with very thin tubes. Works very good!

The tubing is 30x10x1.5 and 30x30x1.5 for the middle part. The bracing of the front piece (makes it stiff - very important) is round ø8 (1mm). The bike is quite light (for a homebuild).

If I would make the same design again, then I would:
* use sealed groove ball bearings instead. A bottom bracket cartridge is not different. * make the seat movable by a few centimeters, for those fine adjustments. Do do it like I thought in my dxf cad drawing, instead I propose you look at the bicycle of Mike for an easy solution.

good luck!
Dirk
