- Leverarm Python: big fun to ride, but not real useable because
climbing and maneuvering is a pain.
Is it like a rowing bike mated with a python!? Do there exist more
picutres of that bicycle? Why would it be difficult to steer?
Yes, power transmission is by leverarms for legs and arms that
drive a special designed freewheel (Klemmfreilauf) by a steel
cable.
No, unless Jürgen Maier makes some more.
We both rode the bike on straight roads with speeds upto 17 km/h.
As both feet push parallel it is hard to initiate a lateral force for
steering.

Looks interesting.
I think a general problem of the linear drive is that the movements
of the rider are a permanent stop and go and not a continuous flow
like with a circular drive. Advantages are the perfect workout for
the whole body, continuous gearing and maybe a chain free drivetrain.
Cheers,
Jürgen.
