Hi Bjorn!
Here in Brazil, the thinest square tubing is 20 mm wide, because this kind of
tube is made by bending a plain steel blade and welding ("sewing") to form a
square/rectangular tube. 10 mm wide tubes are made by extrusion, i.e., they
don't have the joining weld.
I've used 30 x 20 x 0.9 mm, because it is lighter than the 1.5 thick.

Subject: [python] Tubing/welding
Hello all,
I am a new member and thrilled by the thought of building a Python. My metal
work experience is minimal and I have a few questions:
I am unable to find (here in Oslo, Norway) tubing in the size 40x10x1,5 mm.
40x20x1,5 and 30x20x1,5 are available. What to choose?
Secondly: I have an extremely simple buzz box type welding machine. Would it
be sufficient or do I need the fancy stuff?
Bjørn
