Hi Ray,

the Speculoos from Laurent seems to work fine and it looks quite
fast. I once asked him why the BB is so low and he answered that
this is important to minimize the pedal induced steering.

I can see where keeping the BB further from the steerer would help.
It also seems to have significant negative trail(?)
The tube over the shoulder can save a lot of weight too, while keeping stiffness. My new LWB RWD is rather heavy - all mild steel and rectangular tube. http://rjs.org/recumbents/images/ (I just test installed the chain and steering link: LWB_assembly*.jpg)

For those potential 'bent builders: the python was certainly faster to build, and lighter. At most HALF the time and weight... The steering setup, chainline/idler design, and glassed seat ate up 4+ days alone for this LWB, plus frame and suspension. Seat cushion, brakes, shifters, paint, all still to go. Then re-assembly and tweaking.

Cheers,
Ray
