[python] Re: Python Projects Survey

Thanks Torben,

30*10*1,5 appears to be plenty strong for the front frame,

Very interesting! I did not expect that. I estimate your weight about 75 kg + x. Maybe this tubing is easier to get from the local dealer than the 40x10x1.5 which we have to order in 6 m long pieces.

my (Pythons) weak spot is the brazing -

Oh yeah. Brazing is an art and it takes a lot of skill. I never dared to braze. One has to work very accurate, and I have not the patience. Sometimes I had to bridgeover 10 mm wide gaps through welding.

I don't have access to a TIG or MIG.

Don´t you work at the Leitra workshop?

I look forward to the day when i arrive at
the trainstation and 5 minutes later take of with just luggage and don't
need to argue with the train staff about the looks or length of my bike.

The flevebike steering pivot is a great solution for quickly separating the front part. If you have attached gear-levers and front brake lever to the front part you won´t even have to separate cables.

Hoping to hear from you soon ...

Jürgen.
