Hi Ray,
yes, I thought about that too, but decided to use square material because of the stiffness.
I had no confidence in 30x4 solid material and bigger is heavy.
I think V-shaped material shold be both, stiff and lightweight - but i cant get.
Oval Tubes should be best. Maybe the 2nd version of my bike will be made of that.

How about trying flat stock for the section from the hub to the BB?
Square from the hub back should be OK, and stiff.
