[python] "Maiden Voyage"

Hello Listies,
today I had the opportunity to ride my P3 after a long long time of abstinence. I already had forgotten how awesome it felt, riding this bike, and therefore it literally was a kind of maiden voyage.
Because of temperatures around freezing point, I laid a sheepskin rug onto the seat and it felt pretty comfy. Only my feet went quite cold and I had to make a rest every hour to revive them.
I headed south for the first 25 km and let the wintersun shine into my face. Only a recumbent bike allows such pleasantness. I started slowly to not overload my knees but forgot all caution when the first roadies came into sight. Despite my untrained condition I smoked them by speeding swiftly upto 35 kph which gave me a good kick. I am always stunned how a 19 kg homemade bike that did not cost me more than 20 Euro outruns highly expensive ultralight machines with trained and determined looking riders on them ;-)
For chillout I cruised through the great riverside parks and the Old Town of Nürnberg - again getting the feeling that this is the most versatile bike I know. People and especially children are cheering at me and I am glad that I could share something of my good mood. Even the dogs were friendly today.
My mood beeing on the top I finished this first 100 km ride and I hope there will be lots and lots more this year ...
