  Sorry to hear about your crank Lutz, hope you find a replacement soon (&
cheap or free!).
  Sounds as though you are doing very well to be doing figure of 8s.
  Been practising again tonight, for the first 20 minutes it was like trying
for the first time, really bad, I felt like giving up again, then got a
little better & started to do turns, got quite good at left hand turns but
find right hand turns difficult!     For people who have recumbent
experience they will already know this, but wow, how fast you can turn these
things, with no fear of pedal road interference you can just keep cranking,
I was doing a left hand circle, about 7 meter diameter faster than I ever
have on anything else, until I got dizzy & fell off! Will practice rights
tomorrow!
  Quite happy with my progress but I can't help feeling that I'm never going
to be fully in control, I know its just a case of keeping practicing.
