[python] Re: Kouign Amann almost finished

Hi Ghislain,

thanks for the detailled info. This sounds very promising to me. I am looking forward in tinkering my own version of the speculoos and give it a try.

Cheers,
Jürgen.

Bonsoir Ghislain,

thanks a lot for your insider report. You are an experienced Python rider who changed to a Speculoos-type CFK lowracer. Therefore your information is very valuable for us. Hope you don't mind three more questions:

I always was concerned about the pedal-steer of the TT-bikes. Is that a noticeable issue?
Not an issue, with this bike used no hands.
If you had no handlebars on your bike, could you ride it nontheless without any problems? Especially uphills.
Yes, I ride it most of the time no hands, or fingers of one hand lying on one handle. Very little effect of leverage due to the small width of the "handlebar" actually . In winter, hands tucked in the pockets, no question, out for changing speed, or brake. When weather is fine, you have to rest your hands somewhere, more choice with this bike. Uphill, exactly the same as the python. Minimum speed 8km/h, not less. The smoother the road, the better. Using my handlebar makes no difference, leverage effect is too small. It would if it was a large U handlebar, for instance. Good for people needing a driving aid. Or using a bike with a heavy forward part.
What was your fastest downhill speed and how did it feel ;-)
72km/h, feeling absolutely safe, fingers lying slightlly on the brake levers, just in case, which improve the aerodynamics as well. Funny how fast this bike is downhill. No one can match !
Merci beaucoup!
Cordialement,
Ghislain.

Any news about the puzzling Dennis Renner's bike ?
Not yet, but I would like to gather all available info on a dedicated side in our wiki. The same with the Kouign Amann.
