Michael, i've found that making a bike from recycled bike tubing is definitely 
cheap but,
not necessarily easy. Trying to get different size and shaped tubing to fit 
together can be  challenging but not imposable.
The other day i stumbled across this neat software, haven't tried it yet but 
looks like its very easy to use and very useful for mitering round tube 
together.
