Well, I fell in love with the construction at first sight (even though I was
a bit puzzled by it), so I just felt that you shouldn't have it all for
yourself ;-)

I really like the design of the pivot, very high quality, though a bit
expensive. The axle, washers and nuts are all stainless, and the bearings is
made by SKF. I don't think i gets any better than that. And the easy of
seperation is simply amazing! I can put the bike in a bag and take it on any
train without problems. I don't doubt that a similar solution can be made a
lot cheaper, It just wasn't an option for me.

When pushing the bike it is helping a lot (not that I plan to push it a lot,
but anyway). The bracket was brazed on as the last thing last night,
because I had to wait to see how the wheelalignment was. I dont feel it much
when I'm on the bike.

40*10 Isn't available here, instead I have thought about brazing a bended
tube over the front tyre and support it with 2 struts on each side. That
would also help when i make a fiberglass mudguard for the front wheel.
Another option could be a composite (carbon/aramid) mudguard, solidly
mounted to the front frame. I have the possibility, as I'm lucky enough to
build in Leitra's workshop :-)

Also, I'm brazing small 1,5mm plates on all the square tube bends, and some
thicker plate to stabilize the axle housings.

Thanks! I'm not planning on going offroad with it (just look at the tires),
So I strive for light and fast.

Thanks again. By the way - the seat got temporary supports and I put the
chain on last night, so I'm pretty close to the first testrides. Maybe I
should consider a brake? Nah, the "body brake" should be enough the first
week or so ;-)

Cheers,
Torben
