Hi, the Sram imotion 9 is specified 340% and the Nexus Inter-8 307%. I guess you mentioned the to hubs that fullfill the 400% reqirement. Even if you would get one off the old Sachs Elan 12 gear internal gear hubs, acording to Wikipedia, it has only 339% range. Buy the way, if you are a python newbie, I would consider getting a cheap or free wheel to start with. You can upgrade later. So I was looking for a hub with a relatively flat gear range around 400% or more. I also found the oil filled feature was nice for efficiency and maintenance. That basically leaves me with two hubs that I know of. The Shimano Alphine or a far more expensive Rohloff. Neither of which have coaster brakes. ============================================================ This is the Python Mailinglist //www.freelists.org/list/python Listmaster: Jurgen Mages jmages@xxxxxx To unsubscribe send an empty mail to python-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with 'unsubscribe' in the subject field. ============================================================
