Depends. I once made a 8000 km trip to Gibraltar and back again.
I would NEVER do this with a python. Situations like riding through
unknown traffic infested cities, or on narrow goat trails though the
mountains are absolutely no fun with a lowracer. Better do such things
with a mountain or trekking bike.
However if the roads are good and the traffic is low then a recumbent
is much more comfortable.
