Hi,
since the list is a bit quit lately, I would like to ask the following
(slightly OT): is there a noticable (ie in the final print) difference between
a Schneider Symmar 210 (single-coated) versus a Schneider Symmar S 210
(multicoated) under the following consitions: 4*5 B&W (FP4), subjest: a
landscape on a sunny afternoon, sun in the back, shielding direct sunlight from
the lens, printing on 30*40 cm.
I have "collected" 3 210 lenses thusfar: a 210 Symmar S 210 (mainly used during
my rare studio sessions, too bulky to carry along a lot in the field), a 210
G-Claron (tiny, f9, but only single coated, and has I discovered too late: has
a haze on one of the elements which I cannot clean, affecting image quality
probably, but I did not test it good enough, first images were ok but not
brilliant) and recently a 210 Symmar, smaller than the SymmarS, faster than the
G-Claron.
I will try to test these 3 lenses agianst each other when I find the time (will
not be that soon), so I would like to hear about experiences people have with
these lenses,
thanks,
Best,
Cor
