DEAR JANET,
Before you shoot any film, put the lens on the body but remove the
magazine
from the back of the camera. Point the camera at a bright light, like the
window if you are inside your house, or the sky if you are outside. Fire
the shutter at the speeds that you normally work. You should see the
shutter open and close. If it does NOT show some light, there is no need to
shoot film...it needs repair. Do you have any other lenses that you can
test for comparison? By the way, which 'Blad do you have? 500C, 500CM,
later model?
CHEERS!
BOB

Thank you for all your replies. I will definitely look into the
Covington Innovations. I also intend to reshoot the Hassy in the
same conditions as before, being very careful with metering, and see
what I get. I've never had a problem with the shutter before, but
maybe that's the problem. I'll let you all know what I get. Again,
thank you!
Janet
