Ouch that hurts!
Edge markings but no images- the developer worked, sounds like a camera malfunction - shutter not opening, lens cap on, film not advancing - film loaded inside out (paper towards lens instead of film towards lens) etc. You'll figure it out, I'm sure.
Once you've solved the exposure malfunction, when you get a chance try the higher dilution- you'll like it.
