[pure-silver] Re: replacing tiny screws on view camera

I had a Tachihara at one time, and I don't recall any particularly small or odd screws... They shouldn't be hard to replace.

Does it thread into metal or wood? Small *wood* screws used on view cameras are pretty easy to replace. Many woodworking specialty companies have steel and brass screws from #0 to #12. E..g. http://www.leevalley.com/hardware/page.aspx?c=1&p=41334&cat=3,41306

Maybe someone on the list can suggest a good source for small quantities of little metal screws. I usually just scavenge from dead clocks, computers, cameras, watches, eyeglasses, etc.

Good luck.

Hi, a screw on my Tachihara view camera is stripped. It is very small, almost like a screw on a pair of glasses. I wonder where you get tiny screws like this. Do I have to get in touch with Tachihara, or is there a simpler way?
