[pure-silver] printing 50 yr old negs, scratches and what to do

I have been printing images from negatives I got from my grandmother. I have
printed some of them in the past but recently I just felt like spending some
time printing a lot more of them. My question is how do I deal with all of
the scratches in the negatives. I've never tried anything for scratches
other than the grease from my face. While facial oils do work wonders, I
don't have enough facial grease to deal with all the scratches.
