Hello,
If I could just chime in. I quite agree about the sheet vinyl product
for all the reasons mentioned below. I redid my floor between the
cabinets, sink etc. , in my walking area, you want something that
kisses your feet, especially after 8-10 hours of printing. So
definitely get cushioned vinyl. Your local generic home renovation barn
will have what you need. See for yourself. I also went with a light
gray colour so I could see anything dropped on the floor with only the
safelights on. At my enlarger and dry section, I sit in an old oak
swivel chair so there is uncushioned vinyl so that the chair can roll
easily. Whereas I stand in my wet section, where my sink is, so here I
put down two layers of the thickest cushioned vinyl I could find. My
feet thank me ;)
Cheers,
Bogdan

I agree with Bob, I think a sheet vinyl product will be more resilient
and easier to clean, and handle the traffic of wheeled stools (if you
use one) or shoes better.

You won't have to worry about refinishing it in a couple years;
and it won't leak. You can get cushioning sheets underneath some;
and some are rather cushioned themselves. That can make working
for long times much, much nicer.

So my question is about how to finish the wood floor. The two
options
I'm considering are: (1) 2 coats of polyurethane, sanded; or (2)
some
kind of vinyl floor.
Which do you think would be preferable? Or is either one ok?
