I only dry test prints in the microwave. They do get all bent as
described. After drying and inspection, i put them back in the water
where the rest of the prints are waiting. They unbend in the water.
After washing, I dry them with the other prints as per usual, on
screens. They dry flat and then I flatten them further in the dry
mount press. They look ok, and I sometimes make postcards out of them,
but I wouldn't sell them or use them in a show.

Ansel Adams did that, but not for prints he wanted to deliver to
customers,
just for test prints to see, more quickly, the effects of dry-down. He
did
not feel certain that the prints would be as archival as he wanted
after he
microwaved them. Just test prints. For that, I guess the warping (he
did not
report that) would not matter for test prints. Also, I do not believe
he did
much printing on warm tone paper.
