though I'm now talking the opposite end of the process....
The largest print I ever made was 6'x12' (C-Print). We had a 10x10
horizontal DeVere on tracks and a big steel-clad wall. You roll out
50" paper in strips and hold it to the wall with magnets. I noticed
that all the mural printers I ever met were rather tall....
The terrifying part was right as you started to feed it into the
processor. If you got your alignment off by more than a mm or two,
you were sooo screwed.....
Mine was 18x30x8 feet (my living room used as a camera obscura). It was
tough to light-seal the room to a point where I could see an image on the
wall, opposite the hole in the shutter.
