Well Shannon to confirm it you could take a sheet of the 11x14 and dry it in the microwave too.  IF it won't fit, just cut a piece of it off that will and print it.  IF the 11x14 paper looks the same its definitely the microwave.  Funny though I can't figure out why the microwave would make such a drastic change in the paper.  Yes it would heat it up.  I seem to remember reading somewhere even Ansel Adams toward the end of his life was using a microwave for the same purpose.

Hi Shannon,

A friend of mine who was an Ilford rep gave me a few years ago some
boxes of Multigrade IV RC that contained FB due to mislabeling the were
un-saleable, so it may happen ...
But after reading your following emails it may not be the culprit.
