   Avoid the digital controlled heaters. They can't be adjusted enough. My 
heater can be adjusted to   match the output with the dial markings. I went 
the other way and adjusted it so the output matched  the needs for colour 
work. 

        I also added a small aquarium pump. It moves the water around and 
avoids hot 
spots. Saves me having to stir.

        A couple bricks in the bottom of the picnic cooler retain heat even 
better 
then the water.

        The cooler is well insulated, with a lid and includes a drain. All good.
