Just out of curiosity.. those of you that do your own E6, are you doing it because you don't have access to a good lab or because you just like to DIY or is it cheaper ? Thanks J
Hi !
I do my own E6 since a said very good lab retruned my slides with a large stripe on all the films.
They said to me that my camera should have a flaw... In fact they had one !
The films were ran into 3 different cameras and, being of different batches, can't be at fault. My camera club worked it's own E6 process since ages because they made a lot of dupes for competition and diaporama (? spelling in English ?) so I took a course in E6 processing and done my own since then. I had only one failure, it was with a forgotten film which was processed too late after exposure, and been left too hot. But it is quite easy if you have the temp correct. I suggest the "single use Kodak chemistry kit" for us having a few films at a time.
Looking at an E6 4x5 on the light table is fabulous !
