When I did it, it was for 3 reasons.  Number one is the learning experience.  I 
wanted to know and see how it all worked.  Number 2 was the speed of 
completion.  I knew that  I would get have the film done at a given time and 
not have to worry about lab schedules, especially with 120 format.  Number 3 is 
that it was a little cheaper if you used the chemistry to the max.  It made no 
sense to do it one roll at a time, but if you had enough film for 3 solid runs 
in a short time frame it was worth it.

     Just out of curiosity.. those of you that do your own E6, are you doing it 
because you don't have access to a good lab or because you just like to DIY or 
is it cheaper ?
