My holga scans never look as good as the prints either. I think it's because the glossiness of the print sort of "sharpens" the image, whereas the scanner+monitor sort of softens them.

It's the first time that I've photographed this type of subject but I think they turned out well. What I find odd is that the prints are better than the scans. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. But I like the prints better. Anyone have any ideas on how to get your scans to look more like your prints? Oh, wait, is this (film scanning) OT on this mailing list?

Hey... they're Holgas! Made by Mattel I believe...  ;-)  One should
never expect anything from a Holga. What you get is what you get!
Always a surprise. If one wants sharp photographs, one should use a
'real' camera...
