No, I didn't put anything in between them. But I did make sure that they
were all aligned to the edge and that the stiff plexi boards were bigger
than the prints. Also that there was no dirt inside the stack.
Dave
PS: During the flattening time period, using standardized 24 bottle beer
cases, we consume wine. Thus we don't worry about the weight changing during
the flattening process. I don't use wine cases because they are larger and
don't have handles.

When you guys are flattening several prints at a time, do you put anything
between them?

Hi Ralph,
Last time I flattened twenty 11 x 14 prints I put a stiff (1/2 inch
plexi) board top and bottom and then two cases of beer on top. After
three days flattened the prints like a charm. Bottom case was home
made beer and the top case was a mixture of lagers. With so many prints
I didn't want to waste a lot of time using my dry mount press. If any
one wants more details on the beer let me know.
Dave
I for one, favor the books by MM Kandinsky, Klee, Penn and Matisse. I add
some Sieff and a Depardon I own.
My prints get flatened and inspired by the mighty giants they support....
So my photography gets better ;-)
I fear that if I use beer to flatten them they will turn like soccer
hooligans. Not suitable for the kind of picture I take these days.
