[pure-silver] Re: faucet splashing

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, I use selenium toner (nerve poison) and
bleach/redevelop toners with hydrochloric acid.  I am considering doing some
gum printing with bichromate (toxic) and already do lotza platinum/palladium
printing which releases lotza noble medal ions into the wash water.  There
is nothing irrational about concern that these might wash back into the
water supply.  A check valve is very cheap and easy to install.

I often lie awake at night worrying that the acetic acid that I use for my
stop bath and then discard down the drain will mix with benign kitchen waste
such as vinegar and end up generating something that will have the
Department of Environmental Protection putting up yellow tape around my
house.

Far more dangerous than the chemicals that I use is the irrational fear that
they can generate!
