You can. Get yourself some parchment paper for cooking. Then maybe some kraft paper. Set your iron to the lowest setting and make sure there's no steam and give it a try. Before I got my hot press I used a waxing iron for skis. Worked fab because it doesn't heat up as much as a regular iron.
