Welcome back. It sounds as if you might entertain the idea of throwing everything out and starting over with fresh, new containers. But if not, I've found letting trays etc, soak overnight in a very weak solution of water and Clorox bleach. About 1 tablespoon of Clorox to a tray filled with water will turn it white.
